If you're into drum & bass, mark your calendar! Headlined by HEDEX, a pulsating party is hitting the Hungarian capital on September 13th, featuring both international and local talent. Here's everything you need to know about the Burn Energy Tour's Budapest stop.

Burn Energy Tour 2024

Launched by Burn in partnership with Mixmag, the Burn Energy Tour is about to light up some of the hottest cities across Europe. Budapest is the first stop with additional locations set to be announced in Poland, Italy and Spain.

THis EVENT SERIES PAYS tributE TO EACH CITY'S RICH SUBCULTURE, CELEBRATING not just THE INTERNATIONAL MUSIC SCENE, BUT ALSO THE CITY'S vibrant underground AND RISING LOCAL talent.

First up: Budapest

Budapest is kicking off the party on September 13th at a venue that's nothing short of impressive: Arzenál. This iconic club, with a warehouse feel and top-notch acoustics, is tucked away in the industrial area of Budapest (easy to reach by tram 2B). Arzenál has hosted plenty of underground, techno and drum & bass events, so you know you're in good hands.

The lineup

And this is one night you definitely don't want to miss! Expect a lineup of globally recognised headliners, paired with a specially curated selection of local talent, all coming together to celebrate Budapest's unique story and sounds.

Leading the charge is UK drum & bass star HEDEX, no stranger to Hungary; he rocked the stage at A38 back in 2019. Known for high-energy shows, he is set to deliver an experience that Hungarian fans won't soon forget.

Next up, we've got Charlie Tee, a London-based DJ and producer known for her energetic sets and for hosting BBC Radio 1’s flagship drum & bass show. Following her is Latte, an up-and-coming drum & bass DJ, also from the UK, whose mixes are packed with the most hype and fierce jump-up beats you'll ever hear.

Joining them are local artists Bug, a drum & bass DJ representing Hungary's thriving grassroots scene, and Shaymi, another rising star already making waves at festivals, club nights, and radio stations.

Workshops

By day, Budapest's leading figures in club culture will join forces with the Burn Energy Tour to host a series of free workshops designed for emerging talents in the industry. Don’t miss the chance to attend an insightful talk on building communities through radio, featuring Lahmacun Radio founder Peter Bokor and UK-based DJ and BBC Radio 1 presenter Charlie Tee. The session will be a radical exploration of the topic, alongside the values of dance music culture. Attendees will walk away with hands-on skills for building communities that support local nightlife and music scenes.

Tickets

Your ticket comes with a free drink and supports the above-mentioned Lahmacun, an independent online radio station based in Budapest. The funds from ticket sales will help the station continue to celebrate local sounds, expand its community, and support grassroots talent.
