The Hungarian Grand Prix zooms back to the Hungaroring track this weekend, bringing the world’s greatest drivers and an adrenaline-filled event. Standup Comedy with Jordan Thomas Gray
Laugh out loud and meet other English speakers and expats at this English comedy show! On July 21st, you can hear stories about dating as a foreigner in Europe, escaping the dangerous wasteland that is the United States, and ending up in Poland by American standup comedian and TikTok celebrity Jordan Thomas Gray. Rumour has it that there will be a few comedy songs thrown in as well. If you can't make this show, catch Jordan on July 22nd!

La Boum – Party in the Castle
We will let you in on a secret: 30 km outside Budapest, in the picturesque environment of the Öregtölgy Castle in Pusztazámor (coming with a gorgeous garden), a unique house party is brewing. Hungarian bands and their friends move into the castle between 21-22 July to bring shows and DJ sets. And so can you if you snag a ticket here. They will help with the transfer.

Bass Paradise 2023
Between 20-23 July, step up your game and feel the beat at a 3-day-long party! Bass Paradise is the new festival of open-air venue Barba Negra, and it will bring you local and international performers from the bass music scene, such as Modestep, Zomboy, Tokyo Machine, and Madcore.

Yoga on the quay
Head to the riverside this weekend to enjoy one of the coolest things this summer: the car-free quay. What's more, if you set off early and bring a yoga mat, you can even perfect your downward-facing dog by the river. On both Saturday and Sunday, the lovely team of Flow to the People host a yoga class (8 am - 9 am), which you can join free of charge. Donations are welcome.

Hello Piac Design Fair
In the epicentre of Budapest, Erzsébet tér will be filled with unique bags, clothes, jewellery, accessories, DIY and vintage homeware, gastro products, toys, and cosmetics this Saturday. The Hello Piac Design Fair spoils us with an array of goods, and while browsing, you can also chat with the makers.

Every Weekend is Children's Day at Budapest Garden
If you are after an interactive family day, aim for Budapest Garden in Óbuda. There are so many things to do that time will fly by. Little ones can enjoy a bouncy castle, the playground, and a real Firefighter Party with vintage fire engines. Elderly children can try trampolines, artificial grass football pitches, or skate parks. Animators also host activities, including archery, cornhole, play parachutes, badminton, races, trampoline dodgeball, football, and target throwing. Between two games, refill your batteries with street food.
Open Mic

It's beach time!

WAMP Design Fair
The Hungarian design fair WAMP pops up at Várkert Bazár this July. From 10 am to 6 pm, you can get your hands on custom-designed clothes, jewellery, and accessories made by Hungarian designers. You can also try gastronomic treats and create something from scratch at one of the creative workshops. The goal is also to be a community space with sustainability in mind. Feel free to bring your whole family (including your dog). There is no entry fee.

Drag Brunch
Sashay to the heart of the party district and get to know Budapest's drag scene. This Sunday, Ruin Brew bar hosts its monthly drag brunch, where a dream team of Queens are performing. There is no entry fee, but to secure your spot and grab a bite before the show, book a table (for 1 pm, the latest as the show starts at 2 pm). The age limit is 18 and over.

Salsa in the Park
It is time to don your pretty dancing shoes as it is salsa time in the City Park (5:30 pm - 9 pm). Every second Sunday, Caribbean vibes fill up the park in front of the Museum of Ethnography (in case of a rainy day: the covered outdoor stage of House of Music Hungary), which you can join free of charge. Live music is played by Mario Ochoa and his band, then the Cuban José Dj "El tren de Cuba". All levels are welcome - the point is to have fun together, but professional dancers will also help perfect your moves.
