It might come with a bit of a trip from the city centre (30 minutes), but Csepel Ice Park is not a wintery spot to miss. First, it is one of the locals' most beloved ice rinks. Second, it has got an ice corridor!
And it is pretty big too, with a total of 2,000 m² of ice (consisting of an 800 m² and a 300 m² rink, a 200 m² training area and the 250-metre-long ice corridor connecting them).
The ice rink will open its doors for the new season on Friday 25 November (5pm) and will be available for pirouettes until 31 January. On weekends, it will be open from 8 am to 9 pm, while on weekdays you can slide your way through the rink from 2 pm to 9 pm.
So if you are up for something off the beaten track, hop on tram 2 at Vigadó tér (close to Deák Ferenc tér) and then HEV7 at Boráros tér, and make your own judgement on this winter wonderland.
The entrance fee to the Csepel Ice Park is HUF 2,000 for everyone aged 3 and over and HUF 1,200 for the residents of Csepel. Don't worry if you don't own skates, you can also rent a pair for HUF 1,000.
