The planting of more than 5,000 perennials, bulbs and trees along one side of Margit körút has just begun, breathing new life into an area of town already abuzz with recently opened cafés, boutiques and galleries.
Mayor of District II, Gergely Őrsi, was on the scene for the start of the greening of Margit körút, the main tram-lined artery running though the burgeoning Margit Quarter.
“...the time has come to change our attitude and prove that it is possible to protect utilities and ensure the living space of trees by applying the methods that have already been proven elsewhere. So we plant trees and plants wherever possible,” says Őrsi via social media.
