At the end of the winter season, when the City Park rink closes and the weather starts to warm up, there is only one day when the ice is still in usable condition. This is when professional kitesurfer Tomi Deák and takes over the skating surface to show off his skills in the ornate surroundings of Europe’s most beautiful rink.
Tomi Deák, who is currently preparing for the Olympics in the foil division, always likes to try out special conditions. He chooses the right day at the end of the winter season when the City Park rink is empty and there’s enough wind to kitesurf. It doesn’t happen every year – but it happened this week. See the video!
A couple of winters back, Tomi also took to the ice at beautiful Lake Velence near Balaton – here are the spectacular results!
