In the heart of Budapest, The Workshop forms part of a family of four venues across town, BrodyLand, a place for creative chatter, quality lunches and fine drinks. Now the Brody Workshop is putting its convivial space at the disposal of refugees fleeing the conflict in Ukraine, offering a place to work with WiFi, free food and free drinks. Volunteers are on hand, with support available in Ukrainian, Russian, Hungarian and English.
Open between 9am and 5pm, Mondays to Saturdays, The Workshop (1061 Budapest, Paulay Ede utca 16) now provides a safe space for meetings, work and communication. A phone for messaging and a laptop for emailing are also available.
Refugees are also being offered free drinks and food, prepared by Anatoli, the recently hired Ukrainian chef.
For more details, see The Workshop’s Facebook page, or email office@tlq.life. The Workshop can be found between the metro stations of Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út and Opera on the yellow M1 line.
