With the aim of making City Park at its surroundings traffic-free and improving transport connections between Zugló and Angyalföld, a new overpass is earmarked for the main artery of Szegedi út, parallel to Hungária körút.
The outer tram ring will be extended to Béke tér, perhaps even to Óbuda, with a connected road, bicycle and pedestrian network. A P&R hub is also planned for the Mexikói út terminus of the yellow M1 metro line.
