As of 11 February, the UK is dropping its requirements for double-vaccinated passengers to take lateral flow Covid tests in order to enter the country. After that date, the authorities will recognise vaccination certificates issued by hundreds of countries, Hungary included. Travellers must have completed a course of two vaccines at least 14 days before arrival and submitted a UK passenger locator form. The list of recognised vaccines and other details are given below.

Travel from Hungary to the UK will be a whole lot easier for double-vaccinated passengers as of Friday, 11 February, with the obligation to take lateral flow tests being removed.

Guidelines are laid out here, including which vaccines are being recognised. Listed are AstraZeneca/Oxford, Covaxin, single-dose Janssen, Moderna, Novavax, Pfizer, Sinopharm Beijing and Sinovac-Coronavac – but not Sputnik. Travellers must have had two doses at least 14 days before arrival, not including on that 14th day.

Details of EU vaccination proof are given here. Passengers can add proof of vaccination status to their UK passenger locator form which must be submitted up to 48 hours before arriving in the UK. This must also be shown upon boarding your plane or other mode of transport.
