Originally built by the Eiffel company of tower fame, Budapest’s most distinctive railway station is undergoing a complete renovation. The steel frame and double-layered glass of the roof allow us to see how things now look inside. Take a look!

Following the removal of the external and internal scaffolding, the renovation of Nyugati station has entered its final phase.

The doors, windows and framework are currently being renovated, the interior plasterwork will be restored and surfaces painted. In the meantime, you can admire the roof structure first unveiled 144 years ago.
