Thanks to a move brought in over the weekend, those holding an Immunity Certificate may sit inside cafés and restaurants, use gyms and swimming pools, see a film at the cinema or attend a sports event. The outdoor curfew has been extended to midnight, shops until 11pm. Masks must still be worn outside, on public transport and in stores.

With the threshold of four million people in Hungary given at least a first vaccination, the authorities have decided to let café and restaurant owners open up completely.

Staff must wear masks, those dining or drinking inside must have an Immunity Certificate. This does not apply for sitting outside.

You will need proof of immunity, though, to use the gym or any swimming pool, catch a film or watch the match. Details on Immunity Certificates can be found here.
