Heroes of Hungary’s 1956 Uprising
against the Soviet regime – political leader Imre Nagy, revolutionary fighter János
(‘Szabó bácsi’) Szabó, press officer Géza Losonczy, among others – have
been honoured with a mural at a disused military base in Pasarét, a pretty
quarter of Buda.

With the collaboration of urban muralists Színes Város and tour organisers hosszúlépés. járunk? now in place, similar works celebrating Hungarian personalities are now in the pipeline, including popular figures of Hungarian animation.
