Wine bar in the spirit of naturalness and sustainability
The story of VinoPiano began at Bartók Béla út, before the owner, Balázs Vajas, moved his business to the courtyard at IX.Tűzoltó utca 22.
Here, Élesztőház is probably the coolest
cult small-batch beer bar in town, with a large-sized courtyard that houses a ruin bar, a café, a meat-focused kitchen producing at street food and the VinoPiano
itself. These four elements of beer, wine, food and coffee attract a mixed-age crowd
during the week, and an older, more discerning one at weekends, looking for friendly
company, in ruin-bar surroundings.
Here they can hear and understand each other,
and the food and drink on offer are markedly different from what’s available in
the city centre or on the Nagykörút.
Special experiences for friends and corporate groups
As those in each group of friends and company gathering often number more than 20, it became clear to VinoPiano’s Balázs that in time it would be necessary to meet this emerging demand. Groups of ten, 20, 30, 50 or 80 people often prefer a private atmosphere and personal service, without the whole experience losing anything in terms of warmth or intimacy. This is how the VNPN VIP was born, an upstairs room with its own terrace and extra services, cosily decorated with lanterns and willows.
Here you can hold small conferences, meetings, sit-down wine evenings and dinners, all in the same place, using its built-in technology.
You can also organise outdoor barbecues and BBQ evenings on the terrace.
In
addition, depending on the customer’s needs, VinoPiano can add extras to each
gathering, such as inviting wine experts to hold tastings, and requesting a beer connoisseur
to introduce you to the mysteries of liquid bread, leaving the taps open for
free consumption.
They can even provide a pitmaster, juggling live fire and
smoke to prepare specialities for vegans, vegetarians and serious carnivores alike.
From culinary specialities to popping Pét-Nat
VinoPiano can make an excellent venue for smaller corporate
or press events, where instead of the usual cake-and-coffee clichés, staff can prepare
a special selection.
This might include quail’s eggs marinated in Portuguese
olive oil then smoked on beech wood, or thin-sliced, air-dried prosciutto crudo,
and olives stuffed with blanched almonds. There might be small-batch mangalica pork sausage and cows’ cheese seasoned
with thyme, complemented with fresh, crunchy sourdough bread, while naturally
produced Pét-Nat sparkling wine pops in the background.
Another detail worthy of note about VinoPiano is that this
is the city’s first wine bar based on natural wines, with the largest selection
of Pét-Nat, pétillant naturel. It’s produced by the so-called méthode
ancestrale, the original method of making sparkling wine.
But what exactly does
this mean? All this and more can be revealed by VinoPiano’s trusted wine
experts, who are also available for private events, as well as for special wine
evenings.
Its special atmosphere, lavish food and wine offer, friendly staff and extra services are making the VNPN VIP more and more popular, so it is worth booking as soon as possible for Christmas dinners and year-end parties.
And it’s never too early to start organising presents. At the Pancs Shop also overseen by Balázs Vajas, you can pre-order beautifully wrapped packages from small-batch producers, providing companies a great alternative if they want to surprise their employees and partners with something unique and special this year.
