With Hungary playing Germany this evening in the Euro football tournament, what better place to watch the action in the summer heat that from the outdoor pool of the ornate Széchenyi Baths? The spa is staying open later tonight to accommodate fans who wish to see the game while lolling in thermal waters.

Cheer from the Pool allows bathers at the open-air Széchenyi spa to follow the match action. The ticket office is open until the start of the last match of the day, 9pm, and the baths close around 11.30pm. Your ticket for the baths must be exchanged for one allowing entry to the match-watching pool.

In further spa news, because of the current heatwave, lidos operated by Budapest Gyógyfürdői és Hévizei Zrt will open an hour later, until 8pm, tonight, 23 June and tomorrow, 24 June. These include the Palatinus, Római and Csillaghegyi Baths.
