Reconstruction of the lower Pest embankment between Margaret Bridge and Parliament started this month, and renovation of the Chain Bridge has just entered a new phase, the historic crossing now blocked off to all traffic.
Now, partly organised by urban activists VALYO, Rakpart 2021 will see a number of initiatives along the Danube, including the two-month transformation of the embankment into a family-friendly recreation zone between Parliament and the Chain Bridge.
