Way up in hilly, green Buda, urban woods stretch over the large expanse of Szépvölgy – ’Beautiful Valley’. Sadly neglected and used for illegal dumping, this natural resource has since been the focus of a municipal and communal initiative to clean up the area and make it more family-friendly. Now a forest playground and a bird sanctuary have both been opened, as well as a nature trail.
Families up in District II can now bring the kids for a day out amid nature in the Szépvölgy woods, with a forest-themed playground to keep the younger ones entertained, and a nature trail for hikers.

To reach the site, take bus 65 from Kolosy tér in Óbuda and alight anywhere between Nyereg út and the terminus at Szépvölgy dülő.
