Already successfully launched in the Ligeti franchise of eco-friendly outlets, Ne pazarolj! and Gramm are now joined by næked, a play on words (‘naked’ goods without packaging and ‘to you’ in Hungarian) with apt Scando chic.

Noémi Gyöngyösi and Flóra Orosz have long wanted to run an eco-conscious shop such as this one but logistics changed in the height of the pandemic. Supply of dry goods, pasta and flour, dried up and the opening of this store near Déli station was delayed. Nonetheless, the girls set up the shop in an old wine cellar, renovated and embellished with their own bare hands.

They wanted it to function as a community place as well, which is why they offer mugs and jugs of teas – lesser-found milfoil, horsetail, marsh mallow as well as elderberry, linden and lemongrass – and Peruvian 100% Arabica Huabal Cajamarca coffee.

As for what’s on the shelves, you’ll find oils, pulses, nuts, dried fruit, cosmetics and cleaning products, and Polcz ready meals, all eco-friendly, of course. Paper bags and bottles are provided for those arriving without their own container.
