A new baggage hall is being built at Budapest Airport, set to be in place by the summer season. Originally instigated this February before the coronavirus shutdown, the facility will increase luggage-sorting capacity by 50%. Its design will be in sync with the SkyCourt passenger circulation area.

The new baggage area at Budapest Airport is currently under construction and will be equipped with the latest scanning technology.

As outlined by airport CEO Dr Rolf Schnitzler, “although the coronavirus pandemic currently poses very serious challenges, certain developments cannot stop. Life will return to the airport sooner or later, and a continuously developing airport will await passengers”.
