Krisztina Hera is an instructor with the Arthur Murray Dance Studio here in Budapest, and she hasn’t let the coronavirus stop the music just yet. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am, she hosts an English-friendly dance workout class live for anyone who wants to participate, and then ones geared for children on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

“Dance is like oxygen to me,” says Krisztina. “And I love teaching it just as much.” She is one of the main instructors at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Budapest, part of a global team teaching nearly 40 million students in 260 studios worldwide. The studio in Budapest was the first to open in the country.

Krisztina leads her weekly dance-workout videos via a Facebook group, Group of Arthur Murray Budapest, which everyone is encouraged to join. The classes start every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am, but adds Krisztina: “I leave the videos up for later, so people who couldn’t join live can do it when it’s convenient for them”.

Kids’ dance classes stream live at 9.30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and are recommended for ages three to ten. The dances are high-energy and a lot of fun, the kids’ ones featuring Krisztina’s own children, who have clearly inherited a love of dancing from their mum.
