Hungary stops passenger flights from the UK
In line with much of Europe after a new Covid outbreak in Britain, Hungary has just announced severe restrictions on passengers arriving from the UK. See details below:
As of midnight on Monday/Tuesday 21/22 December, commercial flights from the UK have been cancelled. Cargo flights will continue.
Most UK nationals will not be allowed to enter Hungary. Those holding permanent residence permits, travelling with a family member who is a Hungarian citizen or resident, or here on specific business, may present their documents at the border. See details and links here.
Those travelling to the UK from Hungary must provide journey and contact details, and follow the guidelines on self-isolating given here.
