As just announced by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, seniors-only shopping hours have been brought back from the spring shutdown, 9am-11am on weekdays, 8am-10am at weekends. The rule comes into force from tomorrow, Tuesday 24 November.

A government decree limiting shopping to seniors for two hours every morning has just been brought back after its successful use this spring.

The move follows the restrictions now in place concerning restaurants and cafés only being able to operate a takeaway or home-delivery service, and a complete curfew on outside movement from 8pm-5am except for workers travelling for a specific purpose, and dog walkers near home.
