New rules have just been announced to help curb the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic. Mask-wearing will now be mandatory in restaurants – except when the guest is actually consuming – and places of entertainment. The measures come into force with the aim of keeping Budapest businesses going while ensuring patient numbers do not increase significantly.
With infection numbers rising, new rules concerning restaurants and places of entertainment will be enforced from 2 November. Customers in restaurants and places of entertainment must wear masks at all times, except when actually eating and drinking. More details should be announced in due course.
