Four new trams of the 26 ordered from CAF in Spain have just been put into operation on one of Budapest’s most vital routes, the number 1 from Óbuda to south Buda. The others will be introduced gradually from November to April.
Ordered in 2017, the new trams come in two models, shorter ones at 34 metres with a capacity of 200 passengers, longer ones at 56 metres accommodating 345.
The ones being introduced later will also work routes 3, 50 and 56/56A.
