Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage is currently working on a movie in Budapest – playing a version of himself. Filmed at the Origo Studios in north Pest, ‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ also stars Tiffany Haddish, who is expected in town soon.
Star of Wild at Heart, Leaving Las Vegas and Raising Arizona, Oscar and Golden Globe winner Nicolas Cage is here in Budapest to make The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, directed by Tom Gormican. In it, a cash-strapped Cage has to act out his previous roles in order to meet the expectations of a billionaire fan and save the day.
He will soon be joined by actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish, who starred in the multi-award winning comedy Girls Trip in 2017.
Cage, known for his devil-may-care lifestyle, has not yet been spotted around town. Stars, though, seem to take to Budapest – take Will Smith for recent example. While Cage’s movements might be even more restricted than usual, bars and restaurant are still open…
