In his last address before leaving his post as British Ambassador to Hungary, Iain Lindsay OBE has just posted a video of heartfelt thanks to the Hungarian people for their hospitality.

Speaking from his official residence in Buda, the Ambassador quoted Shakespeare, Robert Burns and Sándor Reményik to express his sincere thanks to the people of Hungary and to embassy staff. See the video link here.

Shortly before his departure, in an extended interview with We Love Budapest, the Ambassador looked back at his stay here – and offered hope for the future.

The Ambassador and his wife will not be cutting all ties with Hungary, however, as they will be taking with them Juno, their rescue dog from Miskolc, with a firm promise of return one day.
