A popular music venue has just announced an eco-friendly initiative to offset the carbon footprint of the concerts it stages. Kobuci Kert, set on a pretty cobbled square in Óbuda, has joined forces with a group of environmentalists for this major communal planting.

Known for its many alfresco shows every summer, Kobuci Kert has teamed up with Gödöllő-based GreenDependent to plant 3,500 fruit trees and saplings around Budapest, thus offsetting the carbon footprint whenever there’s an event there. Details have been promised about how the public can also participate in this green project.
