After nearly a decade of late-night fun, the Ellátó Kert, a key bar in the heart of Budapest’s party district, is closing. The farewell party takes place this Sunday, 24 November, with live music, DJs and no little weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The Ellátó Kert was a blue-chip nightspot in bar central on Kazinczy utca. A classic ruin pub and an iconic location. This Sunday, 24 November, will be your last chance to chug back the beers at the counter, devour Mexican food, take everyone on at table football, and relax in the courtyard garden. Everything will be half-price.

Little is known about what might take its place but the management is opening a new spot up in Óbuda, the Mókus (‘Squirrel’) at Mókus utca 1-3.

Check the events page of the Ellátó Kert for all details of the closing party.
