Partying at the Corvin Club is back for the autumn season. This former District VIII cult venue has just found a new home at TEREM, a high-tech events hall at a prime downtown location, where world-renowned DJs will be spinning discs. Previously set on the top floor of a vintage department store on Blaha Lujza tér, the original Corvin Club was forced to suspend operations by the local authorities in July.

“After a short break, we have finally found a place which we can modify into a proper techno club! Please welcome Terem, which is going to bring the Corvin experience to a higher level,” reads a statement posted on the Corvin Club Facebook page.

In summer, the District VIII council ordered the closure of the Corvin Club, citing public safety. The authorities shut down this party venue on Blaha Lujza tér for the duration of the investigation at least, and for a maximum of one year.

Corvin Club parties already scheduled for July and August were then hosted by other hangouts, including Toldi, LÄRM and TEREM, which has now become the new Corvin base.

Launched in 2017, TEREM Budapest occupies the former courtyard of a school building on Piarista utca that received a thorough makeover in order to transform it into a high-capacity events space.

The new location features a top-notch sound system and huge LED walls, turning a charmingly dilapidated cult club into a more high-tech party spot. “No need to panic,” Corvin Club tells followers on its Facebook page. “We will survive the loss of our ruin-bar atmosphere for a jazzed-up locale, and we will make sure to keep the club’s underground vibe”.
