Currently two main bus routes serve Budapest airport: the 100E connecting with the city centre and the 200E with Kőbánya-Kispest on the M3 metro line. Each runs on a different ticket, the 100E costing 900 forints, the 200E the regular 350 forints. Passengers on the 100E will now be able to pay by bank card when they board. A ticket machine is also being provided at central Deák tér.
The last 100E will set off from the airport at 1:20am, rather than the current 12:30am, and the first one in the morning will leave Deák tér at 3:40am, instead of the present 4am.
The only spanner in the works is the long-term renovation of metro line M3, which means that replacement buses are operating between Kőbánya-Kispest and town at weekends and after 8.35pm on weekdays.
