Have you ever listened to those distinct sounds as a knife is being sharpened, an egg is cracked or bread cut? These ordinary noises of a kitchen reverberate in a new film promoting recently opened Stand, a Hungarian-style restaurant overseen by internationally acclaimed chef duo Tamás Széll and Szabina Szulló. Aptly called the Kitchen Symphony, this one-of-a-kind music video also provides behind-the-scenes glimpses into an ordinary day at Stand. Sizzling meat has never sounded more melodic.

More than 150 different sounds can be heard in Kitchen Symphony, a newly released music video to promote Stand. These tones are all ordinary noises of a restaurant that normally remain unnoticed by guests. In this video, these distinct sounds are accentuated, giving prominence to such noises as lighting a match, scribbling a bill, sharpening a knife, chopping vegetables, cutting bread, pouring wine, even cleaning truffles.

;t=7s Enhanced with chords, the music was composed by Kristóf Gál, while the cinematography is the work of Miklós Terei, production manager at E-motion Pictures. This creative crew worked together with the Stand team to determine the featured restaurant scenes and noises.

The articles that release sounds were equipped with a contact microphone that senses audio vibrations through interaction with solid objects. Shooting took place on a day when Stand was closed to guests – and required the restaurant team to work rhythmically in the kitchen.
