Ramenka on Kazinczy utca in Budapest’s bar vortex has just upped its party credentials. This successful Asian eatery has recently started offering steaming ramen soups for takeaway. Presented in tasteful paper cups, a half-portion of the original serving can be yours to go – or, if you prefer, still available in a full-sized bowl inside the restaurant. Here, these broth-based noodles come in six fixed varieties, including with vegetables, pork or shrimp. It’s healthy, nourishing and can work wonders on hangover days.

Every since its 2014 opening, Ramenka has been a popular spot for soups amid the party setting of Kazinczy utca. Found steps away from ruin-pub pioneer Szimpla Kert, this minimalist nook for wholesome liquid dishes is always filled with a diverse crowd slurping bowlfuls of quick-cooking noodles.

Four years down the line, partygoers can now devour these distinct Asian treats on the go. Classic ramenka (1,350 forints) and sea-food heavy shifudo (1,850 forints) can be ordered in takeaway cups, offered with chopsticks.

Add a 500 forints extra for four pieces of gyoza on the side. This exotic dish of stuffed wonton wrappers makes the soupy sensation a filling meal. A recently repainted Cuban-style door opposite the eatery adds a selfie-perfect scene to Ramenka’s new portable potable fare.
