The iconic K-Bridge of Sziget Festival fame, one-time wholesale market Nagyvásártelep and Óbuda’s Communist-era apartment buildings all appear in Live It Up, the official World Cup song filmed in Budapest. This newly released video stars Will Smith, Nicky Jam and Era Istrefi, who were recently shooting in the Hungarian capital for this sassier-than-expected rap tune. The mini movie accompanying the bubbly football anthem also features Ronaldinho and a team of over 100 dancers, musicians and other football stars.

Will Smith, Nicky Jam and Era Istrefi truly lived it up in Budapest. The stars joined forces the end of May to film the 2018 Russia World Cup song in the Hungarian capital. Having premiered last Friday, Live It Up has already gained more than 11 million views on YouTube.

Commissioned by Sony Music and FIFA, the Hungarian Admiral Film production company was in charge for the Budapest shooting, using hand-held cameras, drones and Steadicams. Video director Yasha Malekzad has worked with international artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Ludacris, Lil Wayne and Usher prior this latest assignment.

Photos and news about Will Smith’s Budapest stay have been appearing across social media platforms as the artist is also shooting for his latest fantasy film, Gemini Man, in town. A recent photo uploaded by the Men in Black star on his Instagram features him posing atop Budapest's Opera House.
