The Drones World Tour took UK alt-rockers Muse to venues and festivals from Vancouver to Japan, for 130-plus nights in 2015/16. The highlights have now been transformed into a fantastic film with never-before-seen special effects, interview footage, shots from drones flying across the audience, giant projections and intricate, perfectly crafted LED laser works. As if it were a one-off show, the Drones World Tour screens for one night only across the planet – including the ornate Uránia Theatre in Budapest – on July 12th. Tickets are selling out super quick, so watch the epic trailer below, and book your seat.

For each of the 131 shows across the globe, the band performed in the round, which is to say from the middle of the arena, with the stage design and configuration giving fans a 360-degree audiovisual sensory experience. In addition to Muse, the other stars of the show were the drones that flew above the stage and across the audience, recording amazing footage.

According to Muse frontman Matt Bellamy: “The symbiosis between humanity and technology has always been something I am interested by. Drones just seem to be a very interesting modern metaphor for what that represents... You want to leave people with the idea that they ask the question themselves about the role of technology in our lives and whether it's a good thing or a bad thing”.

Drones World Tour showcases Muse's career-spanning hits including “Psycho”, “Madness”, “Uprising”, “Plug in Baby”, “Supermassive Black Hole” and “Knights of Cydonia”, among others. With never-before-seen special effects like LED laser works and giant projections, the film creates an eerie, dystopian world and brings to life the awe-inspiring stage production always delivered by Muse.
