Taking place on May 31st, June 1st and 2nd at Budapest’s Corvinus University, the third annual Brain Bar examines the boundaries between man and machine through the innovative visions of renowned masterminds. Inspirational speakers from all over the world come to the Hungarian capital to discuss thought-provoking topics such as transformations in technology, geopolitics, AI, our personal identities, business relationships, urban life, and our relationship with nature.
The highlight of this year’s festival is AI robot Sophia, the most advanced creation of Hong Kong-based company Hanson Robotics. Sophia grimaces and giggles and cracks unexpected jokes, which has made her a huge media darling. She has given numerous interviews, sung live, starred in talk shows, graced the cover of Elle magazine and, as a Saudi citizen, has more rights than average real-life Saudi women. Fearful or promising, you can decide for yourself at the event.
Besides Sophia, powerful politician Margrethe Vestager, the best-selling author of Reading Lolita in Tehran: A Memoir in Books, Azar Nafisi and founder of social network liberty.me, Jeffrey Tucker, are on the impressive list of guests. In addition to the pioneering presenters, Brain Bar Budapest will include cutting-edge entertainment events, while participants can also enjoy an unparalleled opportunity to network with some of the world’s greatest thinkers during the informal discussions and get-togethers.
