On the treasured thoroughfare of Falk Miksa Street, a large shop window entices passersby with its collection of harmonious homeware. Inside, a duo of luxury labels by Ralph Lauren and Yves Delorme marks the fine merchandise from bedding to bath- and barware. Mostly lined by antique art galleries and auction houses, this recently opened Budapest outlet selling soft towels, prime duvet covers and decorative dining sets stands out from the surrounding setting. Whether you pop in for inspiration for your home décor or come to buy a specific item, you will be treated as an esteemed customer.

Intersecting with bustling Grand Boulevard on one side and focal Kossuth tér on the other, this laidback street was made for browsing, with fine-quality antique shops and gorgeous galleries. Wedged between these art-infused Budapest outlets, a fashionable destination turns heads with modern-day merchandise that would enhance any household. From elegantly gilded tableware to fashionable fixtures for lighting, and soft fabrics for bedtime and bathing, the stunning stock here features prime products by Ralph Lauren and French brand Yves Delorme, known for their luxury linen collection and super soft terry towels.

Launching this deluxe downtown destination was the brainchild of Alla Loshchenko, a Budapest-based expat. With a long-established enthusiasm for design and creativity, Loshchenko has already been running a gallery on Falk Miksa Street, featuring contemporary works by emerging artists. The new shop now occupies the same space where her UVG exhibition venue was once located, and the gallery has moved right next door to the store.

While the gallery suggests the tastes of its founder for offbeat art, the adjacent shop shows more sophisticated decoration, where the brands’ guidelines for interior design tastefully merge with Loshchenko’s visions. This can be seen from refined touches such as the impressive Italian Baroque-style lamps that hang from the ceiling, further emphasizing the rich style of the establishment. Furnishings feature natural material, such as the neat wooden shelves where fabrics, dining ware and other decorative items are displayed.

Each year, two collections are selected at MAISON&OBJET, a Paris-based trade fair dedicated to lifestyle, decoration and design. Then in Budapest, the two collaborating brands, Ralph Lauren and Yves Delorme, gracefully complement each other on the shop floor. Two king-size beds, made-to-order and ready to purchase, are fully set with pillows, duvets and artfully detailed covers to envelop in snug comfort. Premium linens are made of 100% Egyptian cotton, fluffy duvets come filled with silk and Hungarian goose down of the finest quality.

Then there are the colorful towers of towels, products of the same high quality offered by both brands. They often come with matching bathmats, robes, nightwear and slippers. But even if you were just planning on installing a small corner with a private bar at home, you’ve come to the right place to find it. Exclusive sets offer a portable counter covered with leather, chic ice buckets and crystal glasses printed with the iconic Polo Ralph Lauren logo. Embossed with the brand’s initials, distinct poker and domino sets are offered for a little fun while drinking takes place.

To give your home a touch of idiosyncrasy, limited-edition posters come with certificates. Floral-like fragrances linger in the air all through the store, thanks to a collection of aromatic oils and perfumed candles, each coming in different scents, smoky, spicy or sweet. Shop staff treats you with the kind of hospitality reserved for visiting friends. The proof is in the manifold repeat customers at Loshchenko’s haven, most regular visitors greeted by name. As part of a comprehensive loyalty scheme, special discounts are available to those who register.

With all its pastels, purple and pink hues, the spring-summer collection will add even more vibrancy. This new line will be displayed out on the shop floor from April, just as many homes are being refreshed for the flourishing months ahead.
