Budapest often appears a mystifying metropolis during winter, when a milky haze envelops the cityscape during the early morning hours. A series of recent images by award-winning Hungarian drone photographer Péter Kálló shows this phenomenon from a soaring perspective. In his newly published aerial images, the artist directs the camera to capture Citadel atop Gellért Hill as it’s draped in vapor, while the Liberation Monument is visible from above as it peeks over the low-flying clouds, the Danube flowing down below. “When using a drone, a new dimension opens,” Kálló has said about his works.
