With its sweeping Danube panoramas, elegant landmarks and top-notch gastronomy, Budapest is never a hard sell. Throw in the liveliest nightlife in the region, a spa culture second-to-none and a fascinating history, and it’s little wonder tourists flock to the Hungarian capital. Autumn makes their visit that much more special, turning the parks and boulevards to a golden color, and ramping up the already hectic cultural agenda. To escape the bustle and discover what’s beyond, Gödöllő offers a Baroque royal palace, Etyek and Mór vineyards and wine cellars, and Pilis panoramic views.

In the English-subtitled video below, provided to We Love Budapest by the Hungarian Tourism Agency, a new promotion showcases the best of Budapest and surroundings during this most beautiful of seasons. We follow the camera over the bridges of the Danube, into restaurant kitchens and through the rising steam of the city’s legendary spas.

We then head out of the city to the graceful façades of Gödöllő and the Royal Palace where the Habsburgs spent so much of their free time. Visiting the wineries and vineyards of Etyek and Mór, we join diners raising a glass and tucking into quality local cuisine, before we dramatically soar over the hills of Pilis.
