In a new promotional video shot for Italian luxury label Gucci that presents their spring/summer 2017 eyewear collection, creative Canadian artist Petra Collins takes fashion fans to her childhood heaven of serene settings in the Hungarian countryside, followed by a party-like atmosphere at Budapest’s majestic Gellért Bath. The stylish mini-movie follows the artist’s little cousins as they put on their grandmother’s strikingly sparkling spectacles, taking them from Hungary’s pastoral scenes to Budapest’s most ornate thermal spa, where a super-chic party unfolds.

The fresh promotional video made for Gucci by talented New York-based photographer Petra Collins guides us to the artist’s childhood paradise in the Hungarian countryside, where her young cousins frolic amid happy scenes in their grandmother’s vintage-style living room. Magyar dialogue is heard in the background, and as the children insert a video cassette into an old VCR and don grandma’s glamorous glasses, a psychedelic world unfolds in front of their eyes amid the bucolic landscape that surrounds the heartwarming home. These serene scenes change abruptly, as the video accompanies the children to Budapest’s graceful Gellért Bath, where a chic party heats up the ornate halls filled with beautiful people. (Apparently, the city’s Art Nouveau spa is becoming an increasingly fashionable destination – last year, GQ captured A-list star Ryan Gosling as he posed inside the steamy edifice for a campaign shot for Ralph Lauren.)
