The Heineken Budapest Nightlife Awards annually invites everyone to pick their favorite nightspots in the Magyar metropolis among more than 150 nominees, and promote them with votes in 12 categories. This year’s awards ceremony was hosted by 2016’s “Best Concert Venue”, Akvárium Klub, where following the live gig of the Hungarian pop group Mary Popkids, outspoken Magyar rapper Ganxta Zolee announced the winners, and afterwards, Berlin-based DJ Matthias Meyer spun records late into the night. We here at We Love Budapest also presented an award in the category of the "Best Craft Beer Bar".

The nearly 30,000 votes and the high number of nominees ensure the contest’s relevance and importance, and also suggest that the bar and club managers very much appreciate feedback from their patrons.
