Walking in beautiful Budapest is always a great way to discover the city, as most of the major attractions are found within walking distance from each other; however, the city’s twisting streets can make navigation a challenge. Of course we can find our way with digital devices or cumbersome paper maps, but thanks to the new EggMap – designed by Hungarian visionary Dénes Sátor – we can have an entire map of Budapest in the palm of our hand. This waterproof stress ball fits perfectly in our fist, enabling us to take a stress-free stroll around the city, because if we ever get lost, we can “zoom in” on certain parts of town by squeezing the ball in the right way.
We already featured the EggMap in a previous article, and we promised to announce if they become available for purchase. Well, now EggMap just launched a campaign on Kickstarter, accompanied by a playful English-language promo video found below, in which different people roam around Budapest’s most splendid sights with the help of this durable invention; when they find their way, they pass the map on to another lost lamb.
As presented at the end of the video, the EggMap creators aim to spread their invention to the whole world with different versions for varied cities – if interested, you can support them here.
