Playful pictures of bikes and bytes will surround guests at a pair of downtown hotels after extensive renovations, as Orbis Hotel Group is introducing the new ibis Styles Hotels brand to Budapest’s hospitality market this spring. One of the refurbished properties will be decorated with electrifying motifs from vintage computer games, while the other hotel will feature varied artworks based on bicycle culture.

Gilles Clavie, president and CEO of Orbis Hotel Group, sees the Hungarian hospitality market as promising, and is overseeing the introduction of a dynamic new international hotel brand to Hungary – ibis Styles by Accor Hotels.

Already present in almost 300 locations across 25 countries, the ibis Styles chain provides cities with individualized accommodations that reflect varied interests, with an aim to create a unique design and atmosphere with relaxed and friendly service, where guests can feel the conviviality and character of the surrounding community.

The brand will be brought to Budapest through the complete transformation of two existing hotels – Mercure Budapest Metropol will become the ibis Styles Budapest Center hotel from April 2016, and Mercure Budapest Duna will become the ibis Styles Budapest City.

The two hotels will both have a unique design and brand-new lifestyle innovations; at the ibis Styles Budapest Center, guests can pretend that they’ve become 8-bit characters surrounded by the magic and spirit of classic computer games, enhanced by street art and contemporary artistic installations. Meanwhile, the ibis Styles Budapest City will offer urban bicycle tours, comfortable common areas, and stylish bike-themed rooms.
