Launched with the aim of promoting Hungarian sneaker and streetwear culture, the Kicks R Good event series takes place for the fifth time on December 13th. The trendsetting shoe exhibition features winter collections by such international and Hungarian brands as New Era, BP Clothing, and Rayan Clothing, and visitors will even get the chance to set eyes on some treasured pieces owned by private collectors.

KRG, aka Kicks R Good, started out as a sneaker exhibition, but by now it’s grown into an organically emerging collective, a meeting platform for street-fashion brands and their customers. The impressive showcase will be held between 11am and 7pm on December 13th at Anker’t, with the participation of popular names like Adidas, Nike, and Puma, as well as less prominent but equally cool companies, such as New Era and NEFF.

The organizers are at the forefront of Budapest’s sneaker culture, and believe that shoes are much more than functional accessories: many consider them to have actual artistic value. To highlight this, private collectors were invited to tell the stories behind the trendy shoelaces and fashion-forward rubber soles. In an effort to prove their absolute dedication to stylish footwear, the team has brought in a new partner that will soon debut an innovative shoe-tracking application.

SneakerTracker is a Hungarian startup with a mission to create a special communityplatform for footgear lovers.

Shoes are not the only items that will take center stage at the Sunday event: the selection will also feature other streetwear staples like tees and snapbacks by Rayan Clothing, BP Clothing, and Poster Urban Outfit, among others, as well as snazzy socks produced by Stance.

If you want something more than just looking at the latest street-fashion pieces, join any of the unique style-related activities. Take part in the workshop of Sneakers and Bonsai, known for their unusually designed kicks, or test the finder of RapcitySneaker, and see if you can identify your favorite shoes through the medium of touch. Preparations are already underway, which is apparent by the fact that more and more users post with the #krgcompetition hashtag on Instagram to get the chance of winning the joint contest of KRG and SneakerTracker.
