We could take a look inside Tütü a few hours before their exclusive opening party last weekend – remarkably, the venue created its rather stylish ambience in a mere ten days. One of its owners is Hubert Hlatky-Schlichter, whose relaxed perfectionism provided Budapest with places such as KIOSK and Babel Budapest. His name guarantees the realization of successful and innovative ideas, as well as consistent quality: the two aforementioned places are best examples for thoughtful and reliable food, atmosphere, and service.
Our real review of this new club is yet to come, since Tütü has been operating for only a few days now, but we still want to present some photos and information about the place that the city was waiting for.
Here it does not matter where you were born, what language you speak, what style you represent, or who you love. All that matters here is music and beauty, as well as openness and acceptance.
The interior is divided into several units, all sharing a ballet theme. There are some contemporary elements, but classic beauty can also be found in the form of elegant materials, mirrors, and lights. An example for these is the piano that can be converted into a DJ panel, or the boudoir parlor decorated with giant chandeliers. The new lighting technique creates an enigmatic, mysterious atmosphere, and the place is equipped with a new sound system, as well.
The club was opened by Hubert and Niclas Trouvé, Sweden’s Ambassador to Hungary. He talked about the intersection of an open, broad-minded culture, and Tütü though his country’s examples.
