Through a recent series of teasing photos on their Facebook page (including a close-up of a characteristic haircut), the popular urban-Pest eatery Konyha is surprising Budapest’s foodie community with the intriguing announcement of its newest employee: masterful Magyar chef Krisztián Huszár. This award-winning culinary artist continues Konyha’s quick progression from an artsy hangout to a top-notch restaurant.

Times are changing around Konyha; the management is said to be doing their best to become more than just “the restaurant next to Telep” – and the announcement of the sunshiny eatery’s new chef certainly continues this effort. Krisztián headed the kitchen at MÁK Bistro before moving on to ZONA – the winner of the 2014 Hennessy-Dining Guide "Restaurant of the Year" prize – and so there is no question that he’ll use his hard-earned expertise to bring new thrills to this avant-garde hotspot at Madách Square.
