Our weekly roundup for the upcoming weekend offers plenty of suggestions for where to go, what to do, and who must not be missed during the next three days. There are always so many happenings to choose from in Budapest – dance house, parties, live music, cocktails, performances, and more – but here is our pick of the bunch for the imminent 72 hours or so:

Friday

Noon - 4am: Einfach Berlin at Zipp Club, Dürer Kert, Látomás, and other places Einfach Berlin started as a mini-festival, but soon grew into a whole movement with its own lifestyle and fashion brand. This weekend, they bring the essence of the German capital to Budapest in the form of an impressive lineup of DJs and parties.

Marcel Freigeist, Dodorinho, We Plants Are Happy Plants, iamyank and others – sounds tempting, doesn’t it? 5pm - 10pm:

Friday At A38
at A38 ShipWhite Russian.

Mojito.

Long Island Iced Tea.

Sex On The Beach.

Gin and Tonic. These are just a few of our favorites that always help us to start the weekend in a really good mood. You pay for one and get two, while the Bladerunnaz DJs play their favorite liquid funk and drum-and-bass records. A soft warmup for what is coming in the forthcoming two days and three nights.
9pm: Kéknyúl Hammond Band at Opus Jazz ClubKéknyúl Hammond Band is one of Hungary’s leading funk-soul-jazz bands, with talented musicians like Andrew Hefler or Mátyás Premecz, who also plays in like the Qualitons and toured with the world-famous Jackie Orszáczky. They’ll surely spice up your Friday night!

10pm - 5am: Tulpen Und Narzissen – Les Temps Modernes at VittulaCold wave, post-punk, deathrock, synthwave, Italo disco, and a lot more: a night dedicated to all the bone-chilling genres that sound best in a crypt or at a club like Vittula. If you are back from the grave, this should be your ultimate destination.
11pm - 5am: Rewind Special With Dynamite MC at CorvintetőRewind might be the oldest party series of Budapest with its 15-year history. Iconic Wednesdays and Fridays here correlate with the name of DJ Zsolt Palotai, and a packed Corvintető. DJ Palotai told us in an earlier interview that he thinks these nights are about the here and now, and that the performers think globally about music, not bound by genres.
