Our weekly roundup for the upcoming weekend offers plenty of suggestions for where to go, what to do, and who must not be missed during the next three days. There are always so many happenings to choose from in Budapest – exhibitions, markets, live music, festivals, performances, and more – but here is our pick of the bunch for the imminent 72 hours or so:

Friday

10am - 8pm: Nanushka Warehouse Sale at Pop-Up Store (Budapest 1052, Bécsi Street 1-3) At the current Nanushka Warehouse Sale, you can buy the sample pieces of the spring-summer ’14 and autumn-winter ’14 collections of this leading Hungarian designer. You can also find prototypes – the first visions of Nanushka maven Szandra Sándor – and can purchase pieces from past seasons with a 50-70% discount. For four weeks, Nanushka awaits customers with a daily-updated selection. Dress up! Noon - 6pm: Mikko Kuorinki – Falling Stone Proves at Trapéz In his works, Mikko Kuorinki explores the understanding of the world and our place in it, regularly featuring found objects, scenes, and words to throw light on the relations of the individual and physical reality. He captures and records his surroundings through these fragments. For Kuorinki, the materials of the artworks are not symbolic, but concrete.

This is his first Budapest exhibition, and Friday is the last day when you can visit it. 8pm - 10pm: Margaret Island, Fangler’s at A38 ShipMargaret Island is a fresh-faced indie-folk-pop band that names acts like Tom Odell, Passenger, and Mumford & Sons as their biggest inspirations. But that doesn't mean that everything they play is just acoustic guitar and their singing – they love to improvise and to bring out special instruments like steel drums during their shows, guaranteeing that they never sound the same.
10pm - 6am: Monkey6 Presents: Dappa aka Dusty Fingaz, Palotai, Sirmo, Bergi, Safair, Max Factor at Corvintető Dappa (aka Dusty Fingaz) is ‘a self-confessed vinyl addict’ and a key player on the pirate-radio scene since 1995, who hails from the streets of London. With experience spanning over 20 years, including regular shows at Ministry of Sound, and styles ranging from hip-hop to funk, it is no secret that Dappa knows how to get any party started. If you don’t believe it, tune in to Rinse FM any Saturday between 4pm-6pm, when he is spinning his most soulful favorites.

10pm - 6am: A38 Summer – Ludmilla & Dublic Birthday Bash at A38 Ship When the most well-known Hungarian breakbeat DJane Ludmilla celebrates her birthday together with the bass-maniac twins of Dublic, well, that’s what we call unmissable. The record bags are always filled with the freshest bangers, and their mixing skills are outstanding, so if you are hungry for a trap-moombahton-dubstep-brostep-rave party, well, this is your night.Saturday

11am - 6pm:

June’s bicycle and parts market
at Dürer KertThe monthly bike fair will be relaunched to feature various fun activities. Get a used bike, bike parts, or accessories, or if you have anything to sell, register at durerbringaborze@gmail.com. Since this will be one of the biggest bike fairs of the month, you shouldn’t miss it.
11.30am - 11.30pm: “Gauls in Buda” – the Auvergne region at Larus Restaurant Between June 18 and 20 (Thursday-Saturday), Larus Restaurant awaits guests with dishes of Auvergne’s gastronomical region. Two menus are available, in authentic and revised forms – the dishes can be ordered separately or as a seven-course menu! Every day from 5pm, live guitar music accompanies the event. In good weather, the new terrace will be open for guests, as well.
2pm - 10pm: Champagne Salon 2015 and Grand Champagne Tasting at Corinthia Hotel Budapest The thematic event of the team of Winelovers focuses on sparkling drinks, including champagne, aerated wines, and semi-sparking wines. The programs of Champagne Salon 2015 are under way, and visitors are awaited by a dozens of discounts and tastings.

6pm: Night Of Museums 2015 at Budapest Have a sleepover with history and culture at the Night of Museums this year, as well. On this day, numerous programs await visitors at hundreds of venues. The start date of individual events and programs depend on the location.

With a uniform wristband, all participating museums in Budapest are free to visit.

7pm - 7am:

Groovy house, minimalist techno, sonic sensitivity, and an unbridled joy in melody unite to speak of restless days and magical nights, tearing holes in the cloud cover and carrying sunbeams to the deepest cellar. With the help of an outstanding Hungarian lineup, he will bring joy to your Sunday afternoon.
2pm:Tasca Portugesa at Grandio Jungle Bar & Grill June is the season of fiestas in Portugal: people go to the street and celebrate the three saints – António, João and Pedro – with good food, music, and dancing until the morning. Grandio would like to continue this tradition here in Budapest!

Žagar – Motion Picture Labratory
at MüPaOn this occasion, Žagar takes to the stage with tunes inspired by film music. Reworking pieces from their albums associated with the moving image, they allow greater space for repetitive parts, improvisation and atmospheric sonic textures. The will be supported in this undertaking by members of the Cantemus Choir from Nyíregyháza. Besides the rearrangements, some genuine film music premieres this evening, as we hear excerpts from the soundtrack Balázs Zságer composed for the feature film Az éjszakám a nappalod (My Night is Your Day). The concert of film music will be accompanied by an evocative projection of classic and post-modern masterpieces from film history.
