Last week we introduced the brand new six-volume Little Hungaropedia series. Funny, informative and artistic, these books look at Hungary in a whole new way. Now we can tell you more about the books: where you buy them and how much they cost. Plus we can now reveal that there are a whole range of exciting accessories to match. Available in English, Italian and Hungarian, Little Hungaropedia makes the perfect Christmas present or a delightful souvenir.

With six different themes (Balaton, Bath, Pub, Cliché, Pálinka and Market) each book reveals the hilarious image Hungarians have of themselves, from a local's everyday perspective. The result is both informative and wildly funny. Designed by Szabó Zsófi and published by We Love Publishing (the company behind We Love Budapest), the award-winning design makes the Little Hungaropedia series more than just a collection of books - each copy is a beautiful item that stands on its own.

What’s best is that Little Hungaropedia is available in English and Italian. It makes the perfect replacement for corny souvenirs, it can be interesting for foreigners wanting to get to know the real Hungary, and it makes the perfect Christmas present.

The books are available from today and there is a launch party at Konyha from 7pm tonight. Everyone is welcome to attend and you can meet the author and publisher, with books and accessories also available for purchase. See full event details here.

Each book is 1790 forints and accompanying the books are equally beautiful, high-quality accessories. These include limited edition screen prints (6 990 HUF) that Zsófi herself designed. Of the hand-made prints there are 6 unique versions with only 100 of each design created and each is numbered, signed and stamped by Zsófi. There are also canvas bags (1 990 HUF), small B7 size notebooks (490 HUF), large B5 size notebooks (790 HUF) and playing cards (1490 HUF).

All of the accessories evoke the playfulness, and high-level of design and finish of the books. Little Hungaropedia is now available at an ever-expanding number of design stores and smaller bookstores, as well as online.
