From high-tech digitalized drama to hand-drawn depictions of complicated human emotions, the annual Anilogue International Animation Film Festival presents a planet-spanning sample of the entire spectrum of contemporary cartoon artistry, happening November 19-23 at Budapest’s historic Uránia cinema. In addition to eagerly anticipated feature-length productions by globally revered directors like Michel Gondry and Bill Plympton, the series of screenings (all shown with English subtitles) also highlights significant shorts – including a Magyar-made movie now under consideration for an Oscar nomination.
