In order to throw a decent party, we do not need a trendy scene, just a group of friends, good music, and the intention to feel great. This theory was the basis of the spontaneous party held in a nonstopshop on October 9, organized by a group of friends who just could not wait for the opening of Room8.
The one who found 8&8 Deli was Gensi (Add2Basket), who came up with the idea of the party in the first place. When he started looking for a location, he did not have to go farther than the corner of his street, and thus proved that one can throw a good party anywhere with just the aforementioned resources.
The young group simply put a disco ball on the soda counter, and then started dancing after setting up a mobile DJ booth, further affirming that the party does not depend on the location, but the atmosphere. It seems they are right: even those who only dropped by for a pack of noodles or a carton of milk did not mind the random get-together. They could also stick around if they wanted to listen to great music like Crimson, Add2Basket, Vikipop, or Bal5000. A three-hour live-stream recording of the party will be available tonight (October 16) at 9pm, through the live-stream link.

The planned opening date of the newdisco between Király Street and Paulay Ede Street is November 14-15. By launching Room8, the organizers would like to create a hangout intended for groups of friends, where people can have fun as if they were at a house party, or at a random gig at a deli. Naturally, there will be more similar events until the opening of the venue, but the greatest pleasure will definitely be having a certain place to go in order to enjoy a tremendous party.
If you would like to prepare for the big date, we recommend listening to Planet Love radio, which also started with the intention of building a community around it.
