Ivan & the Parazol
The first concert of the festival will be held by the increasingly popular Ivan & the Parazol – though not at the most work-friendly time. The five-member rock ‘n’ roll band formed in the beginning of 2010 and its 21st century beats feed from the new wave trends of the '70s. The garage rock band reached their first major success with their song “Take My Hand”, which was featured on the Hungarian Petőfi Radio’s top lists for months, often even taking the lead.
Where? When? Main Stage, 15:00The 1975
The 1975 captivates its fans with fresh, vigorous, characteristic and fusion rock music, in which the disco and guitar pop inserts mix as well with the traditional r ’n’ b elements as their themes, which are still the most popular among rock ‘n’ roll fanatics: sex, love, mind-altering agents, hope, oblivion and fear.
Where? When? Main Stage, 17:45Tankcsapda
The 25-year-old Tankcsapda from Debrecen does not really need an introduction. It is no exaggeration to say that Lukács and his men are considered to be the number-one rock band in Hungary – generations grew up listening to their immortal songs and breakthrough albums. They are the
springs of rock and roll;
good-looking, and
without mercy.
Where? When? Main Stage, 19:30FiSH!
“100% hard pop since 1999. For cat girls, blood-drinkers, weekend warriors, metal heads, dancers, skaters, locksmiths, those drinking beer in the back row, and stage jumpers. Radio pop, party metal, garage funk, redneck rock.” – these are the lines, sprinkled with their characteristic irony, that the more-than-a-decade-old FiSH! advertises itself with, led by Krisztián Kovács, alias Senor Fish.
Where? When? Petőfi Rádió - VOLT Festival Stage, 20:10Blink 182
After a long wait, one of the most popular pop-punk bands of America finally shows itself to its desperate fan base in Hungary, on the main stage of Sziget. It was not yet two years since Travis Barker and company celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the foundation of the world-famous Blink 182. The party has been going on non-stop since then, and finally reached us as well. The time has come for the punk hits of the '90s and the last decade to tune up at the greatest festival of the summer, in the frameworks of a frantic party: the
All The Small Things, the
First Date, the
The Rock Show.
