Chances are that Wes Anderson’s new movie will be recorded in Budapest. Johnny Depp can play the leading role of the movie, titled The Grand Budapest Hotel – according to deadline.com, says HVG.

According to empireonline.com the latest film of Wes Anderson will be full of world-renowned actors and actresses. The official cast is not yet confirmed but actors like Owen Wilson, Edward Norton, Jude Law, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Angela Lansbury and Bill Murray are possible candidates.

Showbiz411 also suggests that the American director is looking for amateurs as well; for example he is looking for an Arabic boy who is between 16-21 years of age, who is ‘intelligent, charming and full of life’. Requirements don’t include professional experience.


Fortunately Johnny Depp is very likely to come to Budapest.

Wes Anderson told Origo in Cannes that he is planning to record his next movie in Europe but back then he said that the final decision will be made after finding a country that offers the best tax benefits.

Hvg.hu made references to the Jenő Rejtő comedy titled Quarantine in the Grand Hotel and HBO mentioned that Woody Allen is the only one who’s missing from the Budapest scenes.
